Pastel Lake
Sometimes I paint with soft colors--it depends on the day and the light. This painting is soft because it was painted in the middle of the day on the shore of a lake near Boulder, Colorado. You can see the mountains in the distance and they softly reflect in the water. Like most of my work it is a palette knife painting--the best for capturing the subtle color changes.
